Thanksgiving Day.  We are so very thankful that Smokey continues to do well.  The picture on the left was of Miss Bean with just a few days left on this planet. The picture on the right was taken on Smokeys first day of treatment, when he was a very sick kitten with wet FIP.   His paws rest on Miss Beans ashes.  At that time we had just lost Bean to FIP and we just hoped Smokey would respond better.  Now today, he is hope.  No matter what happens, Dr Pedersen and Dr Kim and many others involved have made/are making huge progress in the search for an FIP cure.  We are thankful for that as well. In this unsettled world, it is a lot to be thankful for:).

The video below was taken a few days ago and is just Smokey, being a happy kitten.  While we still worry that things could go wrong, we feel a little less fear as the days continue to be good ones.  That is what we are very thankful for today:).  Here is Smokey:
