FIP Warrior:

Tabatha

Tabatha was rescued on the street when she was a month old, nearly blinded by infections and very malnourished. She was the only surviving kitten of her litter. Tabatha underwent treatment for over a month and she was finally able to be adopted... by me :) I drove five hours to picked her up and it took a couple of weeks for her to trust me but then the magic happened. She was happy and playful, loved by everyone. It was the beginning of November when I noticed that something wasn’t right. On November 4th I took her to the vet and she had multiple tests done. I was told it was most likely wet fip and, after explaining the disease to me, he told me that it would have been better to put her to sleep. That evening I searched frantically on the web about fip, called all the people i know in various shelters. One of them told me to get in contact with a person that was treating her cat with a drug from a study in America. I wasn’t sure what to do at first but by that Saturday morning, my little warrior deteriorated so fast that I reach out again to Simona and asked for help. She helped me find someone in my region that could give me some shire. November 9th we became GS warrior. This Friday will be 42 days into treatment, still a long way to go but i believe it is worth it . Everyone deserves a second (third in her case) chance.
