To whoever reads this post, I am asking for your support to help me with treating my precious 2 year old cat, Sasha. She is the most important part of my life, and I need your help to keep her alive & well.

To give you a background, over the last 2 months Sasha has been showing various concerning signs such as weight loss, dehydration, paleness, disorientation, teeth grinding, and as such, she has had multiple visits to the vets. She underwent various medical tests (Speed Trio test, CBC test, Blood Chemistry Panel test, Eye Pressure test) and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) & Anaemia. She is currently on SubQ/IV treatment 3 times a week in order to maintain her hydration levels and receiving B12 injections for her immunity. During this period one of her eyes became cloudy and I took her to an eye specialist who prescribed medication to reduce her retinal inflammation. Unfortunately, since there is no pet insurance in the country I live in, the treatment has cost me over USD 2500 and it has been quite exhaustive and biting out of my pocket.  

With her condition only deteriorating further, she eventually lost her sight in both eyes and I was completely heartbroken and felt helpless. I reached out to the FIP Warriors group on FB, and based on her blood reports, it was confirmed that she has dry FIP, which has affected her kidney & eyes. FIP is fatal and in most cases, it is a matter of a few days/weeks until the cat is no more and there is no legal medical treatment available. However, there are some promising experimental approaches which cost about USD 3000++ for the entire duration of the course.

Since it was urgent, I managed to secure a 4 vials (each vial costs about 90$) and started her treatment. I had to borrow money to arrange for the rest of the vials with a hope that I could pay it back on a monthly basis. To add on to my misery and bad fortune, I lost my job yesterday due to Covid-19 reasons and it has put me in a really bad situation. I have bills that I need to pay, monthly mortgage loans that need to be cleared, have 3 other cats who have their annual vaccinations due, being the eldest and sole earner for my parents & siblings in India and there is so much more piling on. Come end of this month, things will go downhill and i fear for the worst.

If I could only ask for your generous support, enabling me to at least take care of Sasha's medical treatment for FIP. No amount is small or huge, and any donations are welcome. In return, I promise to give you regular updates on Sasha, how she is responding to her treatment and most importantly, pray for your and your families (including kitty's) well being.
