I was given a litter of 7 whom passed by aspirated in their own blood stools and vomit with a swollen belly. Finally after losing one after the other i took the remaining 3 to a vet and did EVERY test possible. All was negative and we lost another kitten the next day under vets care. Finally muffin and mufasa seemed to kick the chance and survive to grow older except they were incredibly sick! Sepsis, anemia, swelling, bloody vomit and stools, and constant near death incidences. Wed do the same test (every test possible) every 5-7 days. And each time heid different results. Fip was always a possibility until today. Today i got news that my once lively healthy kitten that ive spent 6495 dollars, 2000 tears, and 5 losses on, is now septic, anemic, uri, cold, enlarged spleen, liver, and heart. Not to mention 4 ounces of infected belly fluid was drained. My foster had fip and this time he and his brother wont get better on their own. Now i have to make a choice to put them to sleep or to try a experimental drug that has saved 1000s of cats like them. Please give them a chance. My dreams are to see them grow into a new home. im not ready to give up. not after the battle ive fought for them. So i begun mutian and the changes i have seen has saved me thousands of tears. Thousands of what ifs. and thousands of heart break. Mufasa and muffin are no longer enlarged as bad. Anemia is getting better. and the difference in appearance is fantastic! I pray that i wont have to say good bye to mufasa and muffin. that all those what ifs can go away and i can rest knowing they are safe.
