Meeko

My boyfriend and I adopted Meeko in November of 2018 after I begged him to let me get a cat. He quickly became our baby and had the funniest, sweetest personality out of any cat I had ever met. We loved him with all of our hearts. In late July of 2019, a few weeks after his first birthday, he became very lethargic and was exposing his third eyelids, so we took him to the vet. Vet said he had a fever of 105 and his red blood cell count was low. His fever decreased after a few days of medication and we opted for an E-tube in his neck to help with his loss of appetite. He was still lethargic but was doing well with his feedings after a few days with the tube. One morning we woke up and found him not looking like himself. He was making a purring/gurgling sound and was keeping his mouth open and could barely stand or keep his eyes open. We knew it was his time to go. Sadly, the vet told us that he was accumulating fluid in his stomach and lungs due to FIP and he had to cross the rainbow bridge. We love him with all of our hearts and miss him every second of every day. RIP Meeks
