FIP Warrior:

Max

Max was the youngest kitten I'd ever gotten to adopt. I got him at 3 months old and he was so sweet and playful even then. I noticed after the first few months he would occasionally have diarrhea but I figured it was the wet food so would try different foods for him. About 5 months later once he reached 8 months old, one day he started acting very weak and sick. He not only stayed in one place but he kept squinting and his third eyelid started to show which made me know something was terribly wrong.

Over a span of 2 weeks, I spent thousands at emergency rooms and vets, had him tested for 'fever of unknown origin' with most vets claiming they couldn't be sure of what it was. Just that he had a fever and was developing eye issues.

No antibiotics or anything else helped him to get better. He was suffering most of the day for most days within those 2 weeks and was very hot to touch from his fevers.

I didn't want him to suffer anymore so decided to let him get his wings. He was the most affectionate cat I had ever owned. He would follow me from room to room and was so loving. I will miss him and really hope a cure is found for this cruel disease.
