This is Maple. Maple is a 3 year old Tortoiseshell cat that someone random dropped off on our doorstep 6 months ago. Right away, we noticed something wasn't right with her. She started developing very severe seizures and having lots of abnormal neurological behavior such as ataxia. After months of bloodwork, x-rays, and different types of medicine - nobody knew why this was happening to Maple. As of two weeks ago, Maple's conditions started getting worse. She was barely eating, walking, and her lymph nodes were swollen to the size of golf balls. We were told that she has FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and to reach out to a Facebook group called FIP Warriors, which were a godsend. For those reading that aren't familiar with FIP - it is 100% fatal if not treated. FIP warriors showed us that this virus has affected thousands of other kitty’s and that there is treatment available. The reason I am making this fundraiser is because my partner Savannah and I are just making ends meet due to past medical bills with Maple, and we are afraid we will not be able to afford this life saving medicine for Maple. We know that times are tough for everyone right now, and we are appreciative of anything we receive.
