Hello. I know there are so many people looking for help, so I'll be very thankful if you can read my story.
I have just returned to Mexico and I have brought a kitten that I adopted in Malaysia. 🇲🇾
My kitten, Malay, found me in Kuala Lumpur, when I was living in the capital. He came into my house and never left. Then I took him to an island to spend another 7 months in quarantine with me. 🐈
🇲🇽 I decided to bring him with me to Mexico and after a loooong process, they accepted him and we entered, only to be diagnosed weeks later with wet FIP. The prognosis is very bad, because his entire abdominal area was filled with pus and fluid and after many studies, several doctors told me that the only thing I could do was wait for him to die.
Later I found the alternative treatment GS-441524 but as it is quite expensive and I must be given 2.5 ml of injections for 84 days in a row, I wanted to have several opinions. 💉
🏨 I went to a veterinarian who was supposed to be a feline specialist and he recommended to do surgery to remove all the liquid and that with this, he would get better, but they explained to me in other places that since it is a virus, it was very difficult to cure it. I didn't know what to do and while I was deciding, that day, between putting this treatment and doing the surgery, my kitten got very sick and I took him to the emergency vet. They did the surgery, they stabilized him for several days and gave him to me yesterday, only to find out that now, in addition to everything, he has a very strong neurological condition. He can't stand on his own anymore and it breaks my heart.
🐈But before I have to make the horrible decision to put him down, I would like to try the alternative treatment, because I think that like everyone else, he deserves a second chance.
💵The total treatment is more or less $4,000 US dollars for Malay. So if you could help me with even $1 dollar, we could pay some of the debt and be able to buy the treatment for Malay.
Malay and I thank you with all our hearts. ❤️

UPDATE May 2, 2021
