FIP Warrior:

Kuma

Kuma was first rescued when he was 4 weeks old and he was brought to the San Jacinto Shelter. He was labeled underage and feral and was put on the euthanasia list. Two hours before being euthanized, I picked him up and brought him home. He was "vicious" because he was scared, he had to survive the hard life on the streets. After 3 days, he turned around and has been the sweetest of all my cats. He is a huge baby. That was 4 years ago. A week ago, he became quieter and a bit lethargic, he stopped eating. At first I thought a stomach bug. By Wednesday of this week, I knew something was wrong. Took him to the vet. Bloodworks, X-Ray, Ultrasounds... he is a perfectly healthy boy except for FIP. He has wet FIP. The thought of FIP and the treatment is a scary one and overwhelming. But because I love him so much, I have to do it. He deserves a chance to a long and happy life.

UPDATE: Kuma completed his 84 day observation period and is officially an FIP Survivor!
