FIP Warrior:

Klimt

Hi there! My name is Klimt. I'm 6 months old, and 1 week ago, i've received the deadly and aggressive diagnosis of wet FIP. My parents have been through this before, 6 months ago, before I was born. My 3 year old sister, Samsa, also received the same diagnosis. Unfortunately for her, her symptoms were far too advanced for anything to be done. Back then, the treatment was in its incipient phases, with the first clinical trial from Gilead being published. She did not stand a chance... Lucky for me, a lot of time has gone by since then, and nowadays there is a treatment available. I've tried everything that my brilliant vet could possibly provide. Some of the meds i've taken include interferon, a vitamin B shot, even antibiotics and antiinflamatories. But my belly keeps swelling up... So I've had my tummy drained... This stressed me and my other sister from another mother, Zoe, more than I can say, because we had to get separated. We still live in the same house, but we cannot share our love as we'd like. My parents try their best, though. They take very good care of me and they've found something that is sure to show results. There is this nucleoside analog called GS-441524 that strongly inhibits FIP, as shown in recent clinical trials. It is shown to be very effective, but at the same time, it is also extremely expensive. This treatment involves an 84-day period of treatment. Given my size and weight, I will be needing 1 capsule for 2 kg kitties. One box of 20 capsules costs up to 642 USD. My parents managed to get 1 box and a dose of injectible treatment, to last for 30 days, but I need more help if I want to reach the end of my treatment. Please share anything you can with me here: fundly.com/help-save-klimt
With very much enthusiasm (and low energy levels to show it), Klimt
