FIP Warrior:

Kif

Hi there! Kif's story is pretty long and I have more details in his gofundme, which I update daily, but here it is in a nutshell.

I foster for my local shelter and I fostered Kif's mom when she came in pregnant. She had 5 beautiful babies in my home and I foster failed both her and Kif.  When Kif was 8 months old he was diagnosed with wet fip.  I credit my experience with neonatals and my connections to the foster world for catching fip so early and getting help so fast.  On New Years Eve he was rushed to the ICU and luck was on my side as he was with the best of the best.  He had no obvious symptoms other than increased breath rate.  He did not have a distended tummy nor did he ever stop eating.  I had a nightmare the night before he was diagnosed that he was diagnosed with fip.  The next day my nightmare came true.

He has been responding so well to treatment and I am positive he will come through on the other side.

His story is longer than this but I am trying to keep it brief.  If you are able to help me offset his treatment costs I would be eternally grateful.

Please dont hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Lisa

Update: On June 16, 2022 Kif completed his 84 days of observation and is now considered cured and an FIP Survivor.
