FIP Warrior:

Ella

This is my beautiful foster kitten Ella. She is just 5 months old. She was transferred to our rescue from a high kill rescue in Wyoming with her 4 siblings. They were scrawny and 1/2 starving and we spent 24/7 bringing them back to life. It seemed like it took months longer than normal for them to gain weight and get big enough to spay/neuter.

Ella and her siblings went in to be fixed which is when her FIP story began.

During surgery her vet noticed that things were not right. She took many biopsies and sent them off to our State Vet Lab. We were saddened to hear the diagnosis. We then did bloodwork likely showing that Ella has FIP. Luckily for Ella she was still feeling her normal self.

This year has been our rescues busiest year yet. We took in twice as many kitties than we have ever in past years. So treatment for Ella looked grim.

Ella’s foster mom Kelli was not going to stand by and watch this girl deteriorate in front of her eyes. So she set up a GoFundMe with hopes that treatment with antivirals could help Ella.

We’ve raised enough money to purchase Ella’s first vials of medicine. They arrived yesterday and she began day 1:84!!

Today she is already a new kitten. She is playing and eating everything insight. We are so appreciative of our followers as we could certainly not do it withOut you all!!!!!

Thank you so much!!!!
