FIP Warrior:

Cat Stevens

I had never heard of FIP before we brought home our first kitten, Cat Stevens, to join our 4-year-old tabby cat, June. Cat Stevens was an orange bundle of mischief for the first week that he lived with us...and then it was like someone had taken out his batteries. He didn't want to eat or play and spent 90% of his time curled up in a heated cat bed. After about 10 days of vet visits, blood work, antibiotics, and steroids, we got a call from the vet saying that she strongly suspected FIP. We opted to try one more course of steroids to see if we could get a little more time with him, but they were not effective. His tiny body was suffering so much. We said good-bye to Cat Stevens on November 12, 2015. He will be forever missed.
