Hi everyone, this is Casper, my lovely 5 month old kitten. Casper came to his home when he was only 3 months old and brought so much love and life to my family and I. Getting Casper quickly became one of the best decisions I had ever made, as I loved waking up to him every day and seeing him full of energy and happiness. He turned my house into a home.  

My heart stopped when Casper was admitted to the hospital as he was breathing very rapidly. The vet found that he had a large build up of fluids in his lungs, which required him to be in an oxygen tent and have a procedure to drain his lungs immediately as his situation was critical. After running multiple tests, the vet diagnosed Casper with FIP, a deadly disease which was 100% fatal in cats before treatment existed. Casper was given 2 week to live.

I was terrified but was also determined to give Casper the best fighting chance he could have to survive. Joining the FIP warriors group gave me so much hope and support that I decided to take a chance and follow their guidance. Within 24 hours of the diagnosis, I had already secured the medication needed and started treatment for Casper, as time was very critical.

Unfortunately, this treatment is extremely expensive and not covered by insurance. I knew I would have to find a way to fund this as leaving Casper without treatment meant he would not be strong enough to fight the disease. Any help would be extremely appreciated and would get me one step closer to saving Casper’s life. All I want is for Casper to live the life he was supposed to live and go back to his energetic, loving, crazy, full of live self.
