Booga was diagnosed with FIP at seven months old in April 2021 after displaying lethargy and disinterest in food or playing with his littermate. After seeing Booga had a fever, the vet ran CBC +Chem bloodwork, a Fever of Unknown Origin Panel, X-ray, and Ultrasound. Ultimately a pocket of fluid was found near his bladder and that was tested positive for coronavirus. Booga stopped jumping up onto his favorite chair and seemed weak in his hind legs during petting, so treatment for Neuro FIP started right away. I noticed a massive improvement within 24 hours of his first injection and he has been gaining weight and playing again. The solo injections are hard on him and on me, but we will keep fighting.
