Hi everyone, this is my sweet boy Rocket. 🧡 He has FeLV, and we recently learned that his vet suspects FIP. He has fluid in his abdomen and anemia, and she has recommended starting FIP medication. Rocket is such a loved part of our family. He loves finding cozy places to nap, peeking out of shopping bags, and keeping close to his momma. We want to give him every chance we can. We haven’t started treatment yet because of the cost. At his appointment, all I could afford was an antibiotic injection. His full course of FIP medication was quoted at $300, with checkups and bloodwork adding to that. I’m pregnant with our baby due in January, and this unexpected expense has been difficult for us to manage. I’m here hoping for support, advice, and experiences from anyone who has treated a kitty with both FeLV and FIP.
