Forest was diagnosed with wet FIP at the age of 8 years old. She went from being a very active, outgoing, and happy cat to being fatigued and secluded. Once we had an FIP diagnoses, we reached out to FIP Warriors on Facebook for help and guidance, and there was no FDA approved treatment at that time. Treatment was very difficult for Forest but also my wife and I. We considered stopping treatment because Forest was hiding from us (which she has never done before), and was developing skin lesions from the injections. We switched to an oral treatment, and finished strong. Today, she is happy and healthy and it is as if nothing ever happened. We are so grateful for everyone who helped us, as it was an overwhelming process.
