FIP Warrior:

Mindy

Mindy was diagnosed with FIP in Sept. I noticed one morning Mindy was not eating and not as active. Took her into our vet and ran some tests but we weren’t sure what it was. I ended uo taking her to the ER early the next morning as she had a high fever and seemed worse. Immediately they started supportive care with fluids. Awaiting for test results the doctors were very confident it was FIP. We overnighted the medicated from Stokes and started it immediately. Mindy was only 5lbs and about 3 months old. After day 5 of the medication she made a complete turn around and was herself. We just completed day 84 of the medication and her bloodwork is total to normal! We are now in the observation period but feel very confident she will be ok. We will monitor her close and repeat bloodwork in two weeks. Thankful for the FIP Warriors and our amazing vet. I know we acted very quickly and the second I noticed Mindy was not herself, I told her in. I think a combo of that with supportive care and getting the medication on board quicky is what saved her life. We are so thankful! Today Mindy is 8.2 lbs and a very happy kitten!
