View All FIP WarriorsMy husband and I brought our sweet kitten, Mikko, home in September of 2024. He was about 10 weeks old when he became a part of our family. Mikko had the best personality. He was very loving, cuddly, and social to everyone that came around. In March of 2025 he started losing energy and even fell off the counter. For nearly a month, we thought that Mikko broke his hip from the fall, but after many, many tests, we discovered that he had dry FIP. At this point in time, we thought we were going to have to put him down. He had NO energy, would try to hide under the covers, and wouldn’t eat or drink anything for over a week. We thought that our time with him had come to an end. After discovering that he had FIP, he started treatment at our vet and within 12 hours he was eating and drinking again. It was only uphill from there! We are now in our observation phase of this horrible disease. Praise God that He gave us more time with our sweet Mikko!
