FIP Warrior:

Donut

Donut got his name from his caretaker before she passed away from Brain Cancer. After we took over caring for her large backyard colony we started trapping the cats to get spayed and nuetured. A month after Donut’s release we noticed him dragging his back legs and immediately took him to the vet. When we first found out he was FIP positive he weighed in at only 1.55 pounds at 7 months old. Donut started treatment and immediately started showing progress. It took about 2 weeks for Donut to start walking again and using the restroom on his own. Donut now is an indoor cat and even has his own Instagram to spread awareness about FIP. Donut did not show any aggression during his shots and slow blinks often to show his gratitude to us. Donut still is tiny for his age but now has a chance at being a kitten and enjoy playing, climbing, and grooming his siblings. We are so thankful for the veterinarians and FIP Warrior group for all of the information and support throughout his treatment. DONUT GIVE UP!
